Cunha- I’m not going there to fight for 5th place I’m going to fight for titles?? Has he got his Manchester clubs mixed up?
Or maybe specify what titles exactly

I just hope the relegation parachute payments are stopped the end of next season, the daft cunts have probably spent it already.

That was quick...

United have now met the terms of the contract, so #Wolves have given permission for them to conclude the Matheus Cunha deal and start a medical #mufc
They’ve got to pay the full 62m by the end of 25/26 in 3 instalments. Basically £62m spread across 2 financial years (at most) by the looks of it.
Rather than the desperate 12.5m spread across 5 financial years that United were asking for.

United have just chewed through a large part of their spare transfer cash on a single transfer… because it’s effectively all upfront - ie they’ve had to use the cash to buy 1 player (fully paid in 1 year) using up potential money that could have been used to buy 5 similarly priced players (each paid over 5 years).

Another cashflow headache.

Plus it means that any vultures circling for the players they desperately need to sell, to allow them to buy others, will know they can further lowball/delay till last minute in transfer window… reducing the room to manoeuvre of United even further.

I repeat: marvellous

He’s clearly not the full shilling. He’s winning nothing there. Better players than him have wilted under the pressure.

So just to ensure a full understanding of this - to be compliant by the end of FY25 (ignoring poor financial performances up to this point), their result has to be a minimum of a positive £98m to get them back to the max loss of £105m across the FY23, FY24 & FY25 cycle and avoid penalty?
Yes. Any 3 years must be a maximum net loss of £105m. So they have to turn in a big profit for this season just gone.

However. It's not the same figures as the financial results as published. There are various adjustments that can be made hence no one can be certain as to where any club stands on ffp.

But if your public accounts are a loss of over £150m in a single year then it can't be sustainable.
