Exactly this. They’re a laughing stock and that is being broadcast loud and far.

I’m almost embarrassed for them. Almost.
It's a complete laughing stock:
1. Players and staff don't want to be there
2. Open top bus parade, has a crowd of... whomever happens to be walking down the same street
3. Not a full stadium, that emptied considerably as they watched absolute dross.
4. Losing to the Malaysian 'all stars'
5. Not winning the 'Trophy' or the massive 175k prize fund.

their asian audience is tick-tocking away.

Simon "i'm on a paid united jollie' Stone can hopefully join Melissa Reddy in the dole queue soon.

...but no, never feel embarrassed for them, there are too many reasons for a City fan, to never feel that about united.

I did say almost ;-).

This coverage is funny though. I mean, they’re quite literally being laughed at because of it.

why on earth is BBC doing a live match feed on this non entity of a match!?!

United just lost against a Live Aid team and you're upset it's in the headlines?

The team they lost to is just a random collection ofplayers from the ASEAN countries. They have never played together before, were probably on the lash all week, and they're not even the best players from those (bad at football) countries.

I would like this to be on every front page from now until September.

You see those documentaries about SAF teams and how they would come to blows just playing table tennis or they would all fall out over losing at a quiz. And not speak to each other for days.

This current version of United is far to comfortable with losing. It doesn't hurt them anymore, and it doesn't matter what shiny new players they bring in if that winning culture isn't there anymore.
