Annoyingly, he's a really good player. Surprised he didn't go to a team with a shot of winning stuff, he'd have been ideal for Arsenal imo.

He's just about old enough to have grown up with united being relevant so the whole "I grew up dreaming of playing for united" line is something that will die with his age bracket, nobody under 20 has any recollection of united winning stuff which is magical and long may it continue.

Gone for the money

"Ever since I was a child in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house, United was my favourite English team and I dreamed of wearing the red shirt. Guess who, today!
Given he was born May 1999 you would have thought that watching Chelsea and the Brazilians who played for them when he was young would have been more appealing. Players like Alex, Ramires, Oscar, Willian and Belletti as opposed to Anderson, Kleberson and the De Silva twins.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's they're new signing?

I'm just going off previous evidence. Because every player that has signed for rags since they've been shit have pretty much said the exact same thing.

The recruitment team at the rags would be better off just using that old catchphrase: "Come on down! the price is right"

Two words:

"More Money"

He would have had great memories when he was 12/13 of Edin Dzeko putting number 6 in at the scoreboard end. Maybe he supports them out of pity, he was there when they were shit.

It's utter nonsense all this lifelong and childhood fan of the club bollocks.

The average age of players being signed by the likes of the rags and other premier league clubs is about 23 years of age.

The last time a twenty three year old man witnessed the rags win the premier league they were an eleven year old boy.

How many eleven year old kids do you reckon are watching the filth and thinking "oh, yes. I'm having some of that"

It shows how ludicrously insecure they are. I think more people would have respect for them if they were honest and just said "They're paying me £300,000 a week, where else would I get that sort of money?"
