Just seen they're involved in a pre-season tournament with Everton, west ham and bournemouth. Not shitting on those other sides but that's a dramatic drop down my for the self proclaimed biggest club in the world.

Obviously they would replace the non scoring duds. Like I said, it is a very simplistic way of looking at it.

Those 2 players had more goals and goal involvements combined than the 44 goals scored by 15th place.

Even if those 2 players achieved half of what they did last season, it would put 15th place on the same goals tally as Arsenal and Newcastle, last season.

I get your thought process… but and it is a big but.. football is a team game. Changing two players out of eleven isn’t going to yield the same results that those two players achieved in better teams. You could have put Earling up front for them and they still would have finished 15th, because the other ten players are shite.

Their playing in the States, where their 'brand' influence is on the decline. To lose all three of their games here would be twisting the knife. It certainly would be nice to see, especially with Sly Stone breathlessly covering every misstep by "twgc" 8>)

I was thinking similar, what does @Falcao get from posting inflammatory nonsense on here.
Strange behaviour, he may think he's being smart and on the wum but he just comes across as a **** to a load of people he doesn't know.

Why????
Perhaps just because he is a proper sad fuck

Although they finished low in the league last season, they've actually been top six in 9 of the last 11 seasons , although outside it for the last two. The signs all point to a team going further into decline.

However, they are a big club and it's not out of the question they'll get back into the top 6 pretty soon.

It's nice to enjoy their decline but once a club of that size get back in those positions, if they do end up getting it right, you can't rule out them being contenders again.

Obviously they're nowhere near the days of Sir Alex, but clubs can decline and bounce back. Liverpool weren't winning league titles for decades until recently.
Sir Alex you say…..hmmm

Such a gamble this, going £60 million plus for a one season wonder who is guaranteed to miss the busy December. / January period. Starts 21 December, no idea when players are to be released by but potentially if Cameroon go deep he misses the below:

  • Aston Villa vs Man Utd - 20 December
  • Man Utd vs Newcastle - 27 December
  • Man Utd vs Wolves - 30 December
  • Leeds vs Man Utd - 3 January
  • Burnley vs Man Utd - 7 January
  • Man Utd vs Man City - 17 January
Almoron already saying he needs more time with the players to work with them, genius this bloke.
Some relegation 6 pointers amongst them lot

Is that Alan Brazil on the ball?

They're irrelevant now aren't they?
They will always be about unfortunately.

Irrelevant but should be insolvent.

Sky in particular won’t let the fuckers go. Aslong as they report 24/7 news on a club tour or the next best thing…

Irrelevant is as good as it gets.

Not bad I suppose -:)
