* misses important onesHe's a fair weather player who scores penalties* & assists but he isn't a team player who's willing to put a shift in off the ball when the going gets tough

Sorry mate on current form and by that I mean last 18 months I see only wolves and maybe West Ham worse than them currentlyNo. Burnley, wolves, west ham are all currently below them and are worse. Then probably Sunderland, leeds, Brentford too and possibly even forest will all be expected to be below United.
United will be around the upper lower half of the table like last year but miles away from any genuine danger of relegation.
They would probably still finish behind Celtic and Rangers if they werePrefer them to stay in Premiership and suffer
100% would never happenIt would be the ultimate though… scraping 17th , then getting relegated due their own not fit for purpose rules.
Did not know that.Debbie Harry was almost a victim of Ted Bundy's. He stopped and offered her a lift in the early hours of the morning, but her gut sense told her to run like fuck.
Almost like there is a huge spectre who looms over any of the following managers. Was trying to convince a red, decent bloke by all accounts, that it goes far deeper than folk realise. There is no way that the 7 or 8 managers and all the players they've had in last 12 or so years since fergie have all been naturally shite, it's almost an impossible coincidence. There are strange happenings afoot in the concrete corridors......and long may it jolly well continue
They have taken out billions which could have been spent on the club itself. In addition it’s not just investing in transfers it’s getting the infrastructure correct which allows that money to be properly invested. Look how our own club operates. It’s worlds apart.
With very few exceptions the influence of the Manager over results is widely overestimated.
I wouldn't disagree with you but I think your under estimating their decline. So any team that beats them is going to finish above them? Spurs and brighton going to finish above us then? Leeds have a single point more than United and you claim they're not going down. Why? Sunderland have had a remarkable start, given themselves a huge chance but they'll still be aiming for 4th bottom as plenty of promoted teams have had good starts then crashed.
Its very clear your view is tinted by heavy bias, United aren't in that category of teams however much we would like them to be.
No idea why you think they are facing a points deduction, there's no indication they have breached any PSR rules.
They finished 15th last season but they finished 17 points above the relegation zone, which is almost 70% of 18th placed leicesters entire points tally for the season. They were closer to 9th than being relegated. I dont think some have really fully grasped just how big of a divide has been created between the relegated teams and those hovering above it
Yes, I would agree with that.
The rags will have a global audience because of their historical success, as you rightly mention.
When a club is repeatedly branded as one of the biggest in the world it will always attract followers.
Like you, I have often been left scratching my head wondering how they can attract so many people at the swamp. Especially, when you consider the dross they've been serving up over the past decade.
Then it dawned on me.... thousands of tourists go to see Buckingham Palace every week, yet they never get to see the queen (king).
Thousands of tourists go to see Loch Ness and yet they never get to see the Loch Ness Monster.
The swamp is essentially
Agreed. There has been no improvement whatsoever despite the money spent, but being the media favourites that they've always been you won't hear it mentioned. Compare it with how we are treated: last season, as we all know too well, wasn't the best we've had. But we were not alone in that, many other teams just couldn't get their act together. But it was us, day after day, that was ripped to pieces in the tabloids (Has Pep lost the dressing room? Was super Kev overrated? Is it time for Foden to move on? etc etc).I’ve not seen a single improvement from the rags in the last two seasons despite the money spent and I see nothing that tells me they’ll improve.

This United team is as bad as the one which went down in 74. Not saying they will go down but they will be in a scrap.Sorry mate on current form and by that I mean last 18 months I see only wolves and maybe West Ham worse than them currently
Obviously things could change as we’re only in September but it can change both ways
West Ham new manager bounce, that fucker at wolves on borrowed time so could be a bounce there aswell, blue tints off the four teams you mention look better than the rags when I’ve watched em. The scum are fucking useless nobody fears them anymore infact they raise their game against em.
I’ve not seen a single improvement from the rags in the last two seasons despite the money spent and I see nothing that tells me they’ll improve. The latest front three have already sunk to the United curse, their defence is in tatters with shaw McGuire and dalot still at the heart of a defence that’s leaks goals for fun.
Just can’t see where the fuck they go from here maybe waistcoat will bring a bit of stability, I see potters being mentioned
The fuckers done fuckall since he left Brighton and then there’s xavi who’s another die hard Utd fan who’s been mentioned.
He’s in for a fucking shock if he end up there.
If last season is replicated it’ll only take one of the bottom 3 going on a decent run and the scum will be in trouble.
I dont disagree they haven't improved but to actually go down they would have to have regressed substantially to be under any threat at all. I think too many are looking at position only, seeing them near the bottom and thinking its not out of the question for them to drop a few more places, but when you look at the points, it kind of is.Sorry mate on current form and by that I mean last 18 months I see only wolves and maybe West Ham worse than them currently

Perhaps. I dont watch them to be honest. I think they've stood still after spending £200m which is a form of decline but not in points terms. I expect united to be hitting the 40-50 points range, high 30's if its especially bad. They've had probably the second toughest start and have 7 points from 6 games, even maintaining that rate, they're looking at 44-45 points which will see them stay up by a wide margin. For me, the issue is more there isn't enough teams down there good enough to better their tally and put them in the reckoning for the 3 worst teamsI wouldn't disagree with you but I think your under estimating their decline.
Honestly, I don't believe that they need to do any of those things. They're doing just fine, their lives are wonderful. They need a premier league proven manager not someone who done a job abroad. They need to forget about becoming a top 4 club again over night. They need to improve season by season not regress further every season. They need to stop dreaming of another Ferguson. They need to forget about the 'Next Pep'. They need a manager who goes back to basics who doesn't have some rigid system to stick to. They need to stop trying spending insane sums on players who have had one good season. They need top sacking managers midway through the season except in the case of Amornowin who should have been sacked weeks ago. Thank fuck no one at swamp seems to realise any of this.

They finished closer in points to us last season than bottom despite being 15th. 17 points above relegation, down there, that is a chasm. If last season was replicated, they wouldn't just need 1 of the bottom 3 to have a decent run. They'd need one of the bottom 3 to practically double their tally and everybody else around them to do better, that just isn't likely.
Those that actually think its possible should lump on now and make an absolute fortune as the betting odds have them rank outsiders for something that a few here seem very confident in the possibility. They can pay for the party if the miracle did happen
