They will probably not pay him a penny and no doubt the powers that be will turn the usual blind eye .
 
Seems very strange to me. Sixth in the league after Christmas is a vast improvement on last season. United said when they appointed Amorim that they wanted to give him time to prove himself and it was clear they wanted an end to the uneducated appointments and sackings of managers cycle. They haven't lost a game in a while, which makes a change from their ugly 30% winning percentage or whatever it is.
 
That shithole of a club seem to listen to everything Gary Neville has to say, so just maybe they give him the opportunity to showcase his 'obvious knowledge' of all things football.

If not please give it the waistcoat

Manchester United’s managerial history since Ferguson retired is interesting reading. The empire continues to crumble. Including caretaker managers they’ve had 10 managers in 12.5 years. That’s not a recipe for success.
  • 2013: David Moyes appointed in July.
  • 2014: Moyes sacked in April; Ryan Giggs (caretaker) steps in until May. Louis van Gaal appointed in July.
  • 2016: Van Gaal departs in May; José Mourinho takes over.
  • 2018: Mourinho sacked in December; Ole Gunnar Solskjær appointed caretaker.
  • 2019: Solskjær becomes permanent manager in March.
  • 2021: Solskjær sacked in November; Michael Carrick (caretaker) for a few games, then Ralf Rangnick (interim) in December.
  • 2022: Rangnick finishes interim role; Erik ten Hag appointed in May.
  • 2024: Ten Hag sacked in October; Ruben Amorim appointed in November.
  • 2026: Amorim sacked January 5th. Fletcher appointed caretaker manager.

It’s gonna cost United another wedge to paper over another poor decision. If you consider the number of players they’ve brought in for huge fees, on big money who have quietly been loaned out it’s eye watering just how much they are pissing away. I wonder how much they are paying in salaries to players who don’t play for them?

Oh, it makes such joyous reading on this cold January day to see so much upheaval going on at that fucking bowl of pus they call a football ground. As an FOC I wish to be around long enough to watch with glee as they sink to the bottom of every league until they are no more.

So the scum are going after our managerial targets as well as every player we're interested in. Don't forget we were heavily linked to Amorim at one point to take over from Pep, and now Maresca. Maresca could end up there now

It’s nothing to do with results but the comments he made at weekend.
