Not sure if posted already, but just seen this online, apparently from Gabby Agbonlahor...

"Gabriel Agbonlahor speaks out on Manchester United’s ‘DNA’...

"Gary Neville has said that Manchester United have got to appoint a manager that fits the DNA of their club. So this got me wondering… what is Manchester United’s DNA?”

“Let me tell you.”

“It’s waving Norwich scarves in the air after every loss. It’s not getting a haircut until five wins in a row. It’s losing a European final to Tottenham Hotspur.”

“It’s firing staff to save money, only to sack managers and rack up a bill of over £30 million.
It’s having Mark Goldbridge screaming in his mum’s basement.”

“It’s having a stadium that’s literally falling down.
It’s every former player having their own bloody podcast.
It’s asking, “What would Fergie do?”
It’s increasing ticket prices for kids.
It’s losing 7–0 to Liverpool.”

“It’s packed lunches for your staff.
It’s shouting “attack, attack, attack” while sitting back against bottom-of-the-league sides.
It’s hiring former players to cover up the mess at the club and calling it “returning to our DNA”.
And finally, it’s teams doing the double over you season after season.”

“What a joke.”

“A laughing stock of a football club.""

Guy's gone up in my estimation...
Did he really say all that ?
Fucking hell

They’ve only ever had two very good managers in Ferguson and Busby. They’ve successfully recruited a manager that can win the league 3 occasions in the club’s entire 100 odd year history. So Neville going on about a manager that matches the club’s dna what exactly is that? Ferguson could outspend every other manager in the 90s and Busby was a City player.
Ernest Magnall, their other league-winning manager, moved to manage City, directly from the swamp-dwellers.

According to Wikipedia, his last game in charge of the rags was a derby, which City won 1-0, and Magnall couldn’t hide his delight at the final whistle.

Totally agree, but it often (in this PL obsessed era) gets forgotten that Ferguson also outspent everyone in the second half of the 80s too.
The team that lost the Maine Road Massacre 5-1, cost over £13 million. An eye-watering amount in 1989.

To any lurking rags
There’s only one person to blame for your demise
The one and only sir Alex Ferguson
Whoa...
How dare you insinuate that the modest, gracious and upstanding GPC did anything but leave the Trafford Tramps in fine fettle when he left ?
He obviously had nothing to do with the shite new owners, the appointment of his "heir", mediocre first team squad or the demise of the renowned and infamous MUFC Youth conveyor-belt...

To be honest that illuminated sign at the start reminded of the state the one at the back of the North Stand at Maine road got into while Swales was in charge, we used to try & work out what is was supposed to be saying with half the bulbs not working :-)

It's an interesting one as if I recall, the whole organization was valued at around £20M, think with knighton or the white knights attempted take overs. Nothing to see here, all hail the stock exchange flotation.

These days though, they're the turd that just won't flush!
