Agents Omar and Jason are doing God’s work.

And also Enrique's lack of being a complete fucking moron and leaving PSG to join a mid-table PL team with a leaky stadium and a toxic fanbase that lives in the past and expects a ragtag team of 2nd rate players to win the League.

Even if he went there, he’d fall out with INEOS within weeks and be sacked.

I really want to see the rags get relegated in my lifetime.

I've been so lucky to witness my club win every significant honour. Football would be completed for me seeing them go down. And to piss them off further I wouldn't rub it in. Because the rags I know would expect that and that would piss them off even more.
I've stopped taking the piss out of the handful of Rags I know.
Told them I'm not bothering because they're irrelevant and after finishing below us every season for over a decade they can't be taken serious as our rivals.
I've found thst this winds them up even more.

Mid season friendly. No rules being broken lets face it but this is not the act of a serious EPL club. You'd organise closed doors matches to get players back to fitness for sure but to openly raise revenue? This is a piss poor look even for them and the fact they have leaked it to the press to test public opinion tells you all you need to know about how messed up the finances really are.

Be interesting to see what the players reactions are and what's in the contracts. Can they be made to fly out for this proposed game during the season if they prefer to stay at home? Also what message does this say to the next anointed one who gets the job of managing this shit show, who on earth would go to an EPL club who would sacrifice player welfare over revenue? Signs of a sinking ship.
They could include an open top bus parade in some far flung City that no fucker will turn up to see, just like they did in their pre season friendly in the Far East.

Since Atkinson they've only appointed 3 permanent managers with PL experience. His immediate successor did ok. Moyes and Mourinho a lot less so.

I say bring back Rangnick. He was the future.
Ragnick was the guy that identified what was wrong with them.

He needs to stay away. Bring back the Norwegian hobbit.

One of my rag mates (yeah yeah) responded to speculation about their next manager on our Whatsapp group 'What should I know - am I on the fuckiing board or something?'

Instantly met with 'Dunno mate, recently your lot have been selling off all kinds of shite to make ends meet'

It's joyous where they are, it really is

Throwing money at these guys is like buying a rooster because you're convinced his crowing every morning is what makes the sun rise.
City graduate after City graduate employed and yet, they have repeatedly failed to reap any reward from this headhunting strategy... and remain half a light year at least behind the club they're desperately trying to emulate.

As a club, personality-driven success is the only kind they have ever known. So, they ibstinctively look to employ the individuals who have been party to City's successs, rather than employing/ emulating the system(s) that have created the environment for success. Even if the powers-that-be over there did realise how to do it right, you just know they'd look at their jealously-guarded bank account and give in to their sense of entitlement that would soon have them rationalising why its perfectly sane to try to do replicate City's succesful methods on the cheap. (Coz we is d'famous Manchshnited, after all).

They're fucked - and probably will be until.the whole financial side of it goes tits up on them. That entire shitshow if a club needs a short, sharp shock of some sort that might, just might, precipitate a culture change. Until.then, they'll continue to go through staff - and managers, in particular - like an in-the-hole gambler desperately snatching at scratchcards, hoping to strike it lucky before the baliffs pull up outside the door.

Fuck them. Couldn't happen to a nicer shower.
Probably a touch niche, but it reminded me of hearing about Lee Iacocca; (President of Ford, back in the day) saying to Henry Ford; "We've just made a $1.8bn, and you'll never make that again because you have no idea how we (I) made it the first place.

Crying on the caff about how much lickle ol' Citeh are spending. They really ought to do a bit of research......

8th biggest net spenders, according to that list. Even if you factor in the 20m that Guehi is, apparently, costing us, that moves us up one place to 7th, just above West Ham.
You are Shirley Bassey and I claim my new boots.
