Says Carrick will be made permanent manager! Well they’ll have a lot more games next season and I predict them battling for 5th

Leeds could very easily beat them next week.

The rags will be rusty as fuck having not played for about 4 weeks....well 24 days but near enough 4 weeks.

Imagine that a top team just as we're getting into the 'money shot' part of the season having their very own downtime that's near enough longer than our pre-season break after the CWC.
Odd that they didn't use the last few days to go away for warm weather training.
Ordinarily, they'd be halfway around the world at the drop of a hat, with Slimy Simon breathlessly reporting on how all the locals are now all dyed in the wool reds.
I know the chaos in Iran might have put a cork on any plan to go to say, Thailand but, given they could easily have gone to Spain or North Africa, it does feel like it waa a financial decision tp stay in the rain, wind and sleet at Carrington.

All about the money....hence slabhead has a new deal.

Been there 8 years

Won the league cup.
And fa cup.

Worlds greatest club

My arse

Had to take a pay cut to get that one year extension, the poster boy for the demise of the rags. Could have signed for City, got his agent to demand big wages and City looked elsewhere.

If he was good enough to play in Citys system until now he could have had 5 x premier league titles, a champions league not to mention being part of a historic treble, four in a row, a domestic quadruple and world club champions.

That’s the difference between City and the shower in Trafford.

We set a value on a player and refuse to exceed it (Declan Rice being a prime example), whereas the rags will pay whatever it takes to bring players to the swamp.

We dodged a bullet, and we all knew it at the time as well
