United Vs City post Game Discussion Thread

Re: Neville on SKY yesterday

couldn't hear him, i was too busy dancing on a pool table.

Re: Neville on SKY yesterday

He was very good and while it must have hurt he had no excuses. Respect where it is due, carried himself well considering.

Re: Neville on SKY yesterday

Took it with good grace in all honesty. Gave our lads their due, praised Mancini for the starting 11 (even before the game), and just said United weren't good enough really.

As a player I fucking despised him, but as much as I hated the idea of him becoming a pundit, he's not too shabby tbh. Better than fucking most anyway...

Re: Neville on SKY yesterday

He was as honest and decent a pundit as he has been all season.

You could tell he was hurting though, really bad. Even when talking about the QPR match, his mind was clearly elsewhere.

Maybe he should give his hedge a cut in a 6-1 shape?

Re: Neville on SKY yesterday

He said one thing I found very interesting, which was that they will have spent all week working on closing down David Silva.

That worked well, then...

Found this on a Spuds forum. One of their fans defending us...

De Gea------18 mill.......................Joe Hart------600k

Smalling-----10 mill.......................Richards------0

Ferdinand----30 mill......................Kompany------6 mill

Evans--------0............................Lescott-------22 mill

Evra---------6 mill.......................Clichy---------7 mill

Fletcher-----0.............................Toure-------24 mill

Anderson---21 mill .......................Barry-------12 mill

Young-- ---18 mill.........................Milner------24 mill

Nani-------19 mill ........................Silva-------20 mill

Rooney----26 mill.........................Balotelli----21 mill

Welbeck---0...............................Aguero----35 mill

MAN UTD---148 mill.....................Man City---171.6 mill

very very similar teams, only City battered Utd on the day

money didnt make the difference

And further on...

about comparing the cost of each teams' match day eleven, well i think its very relevant. On the day, Man City won 6-1, and the poster suggested that its because of the 600 million spent on Man City ascension to the top. Thats simply out of order.

The point im making is that both teams and benches cost approximately the same, so ultimately the result of the game is decided by whose tactics are better and which set of players perform and want it more on the day.

That team was Man City and the plaudits have to go to Mancini and his coaches who oversaw the destruction of Utd at Old Trafford.

Being a former red and acting the way he did, I think he deserves credit. It is due.
