First time in years in expecting United to beat us.

yep sadly I feel the same

we will need to show a damn sight more passion than the players have shown of late

and maybe the manager will start with one up front for a fucking change

we are still capable of beating them (even thrashing them again) but I fear the worst

Re: Rags vs. City Pre Match Thread

Raggies know that we can even find them under the swamp and eat them alive. They are afraid and acting like they're confident.
I know a lot of city fans both local and foreign in Abu Dhabi. But met only a few raggies here. All of them were over confident and always tell me how they have the history. But we are the one making history and I'm the lucky one watching my own club becoming the unstoppable force in the world in front of my eyes while you haven't ever seen your club when it was getting good. You're only seeing a demise of a club that used to be relevant once.
I often get accused of not being a Manchester resident. But my love for city is for the people that worked hard and had vision. I have great respect for them as a business student and a businessman plus being a journalist I also know how to work hard to achieve something.
This dynasty that Sheikh Mansour has created is a bigger achievement than anything they have achieved or any other club. May be bar Madrid.
Look how few years it took for us. 2008 was the year everyone laughed at us and called our project a failed one. But it was the first year. We faced the storm, came back strong.
Look here we stand with 2 titles in last 3 seasons and the biggest achievement for rags is actually getting above us for a week after 2 years because of a shit ref.

Pretty much bang on for me. The only question marks would be, do we go Sagna instead of Zabba? And should MDM play instead of Mangala?

On balance I would agree and go Zabba / Mangala, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sagna starts.

Trying to feel optimistic but failing miserably. I'm still shell shocked from the inept performances and results at Burnley and Palace. If beating them is beyond the Manager and the players I can't see any positive outcome from our trip to the swamp. I think we are going to get stuffed and the stench of gloating scum fans is already in the air!

Typical City are back but wasn't the ride brilliant while it lasted. Roll on the transfer window and let's start again.

Get a draw in this game, regroup and get over the line into third. These are my realistic aspirations for the next six or so weeks.

More than achievable.

Sad but true. We should be stuffing these twats home and away but I'm happy that they are thinking finishing/being above us is like a trophy. I dug out an old city mag with Pollock on the cover having it large about getting out of div 2 yesterday - how times have changed. Even if the scum win, the fact is that their definition of success has changed as much as ours in the last few years and I know which club is on the up.
