United Want To Match And Better City's Youth / CFA Academy

You people who come on with the basic argument of 'you don't know what your talking about because 'the club' know better & don't agree with you'.

Which is pretty much the only one a section of you tend to use in one variation or another. It all comes down to the premise that 'people who know better' render the argument from people such as myself, invalid, because they all agree on how the kids are being handled at first team level.

If 'the club' were all proven to be in agreement with that, I would then think that perhaps I am overestimating the ability of said kids & have a rethink. But there is no evidence to suggest it's down to anyone but the present manager.

I think most people take the argument that as we don't know what happens behind the scenes it's unfair to assume. Positively or negatively.

You're just as guilty as the "fuckers" you decry because
a) You don't know what's going on
b) Despite not knowing what's happening you assume and form a narrative that the club/Pelles/Txiki/the Tea Lady don't care/foster youth, based on next to no evidence but your own opinion

No, I don't assume that anyone but Pellegrini is at fault. I don't believe that Txiki or Jason Wilcox picks the first team. If I'm wrong I'm wrong & we're doomed to watching Yaya Toure in a midfield two, until he retires. If I'm right, & Pellegrini picks the team, then he decides whether any kids get 5 mins or not.

it said today that Guardiola will be leaving Bayern at the end of the season,it looks like there's a good chance he'll be heading this way, there's a good chance he'll be given an open chequebook...what do you reckon he'll do....take it ...or say ..."fuck that i'm gonna give youth a chance"?...

I don't think he'll get an open chequebook & I don't think he'll say 'fuck that I'm giving youth a chance'. I think he'll sign a selection of players, get rid of a few & promote one or two of the kids, probably not as many as I would like, then also use a few in lesser competitions, thus suddely have a squad with about 10 more players available, than Pellegrini has now, without any problem whatsoever.

For a bit, then leave.

the previous & current manager have spent pretty much what they wanted to a certain degree, what makes you think it will stop when whoever takes over?

Sorry, I don't get to see any of the EDS or Academy games, but can somebody give me some examples of Academy players who probably should have gotten sub time but have been passed over? I talk to a Kurdish friend of mine who's a Galatasaray fan and he raves about Denayer.... like says he could be better than Kompany..... but who legetimately is good enough?

the week leading up to the 1st game of the season against WBA quite a good few genuinely believed 4 or 5 were gonna make their debut...i mean they actually had them in their line ups....pmsl

Mancini sniped at the club in the press over transfers in his final summer here, which shows that he wasn't spending pretty much what he wanted I would've thought.

And Pellegrini had to operate under FFP sanctions so again wasn't spending pretty much what he wanted.
