A band I've liked for three years or so is Komakino, they got their name from a Joy Division song. They sound a bit like early Bloc Party, perhaps a little poppier.

Recently they changed their name, they're now called You Animals

About 2 years ago they were being tipped for big things, NME called them "brit-rock's best new band" and they got a few decent support slots, most notably Bloc Party, The Cooper Temple Clause and Razorlight. I first saw them supporting a band called Dogs, who are also a decent band. From London, very Jam-esque. Since then I've seen Komakino/You Animals a further 3 times.

If you like Amercian hardcore at all I think the Drips were hugely underrated.
