We really need to introduce a ballot system for away tickets. At the moment, too many are going to the OSC, staff, and hospitality, leaving other fans with no chance of getting an away ticket.
As long as there is platinum season tickets they cannot do a ballot i reckon.

Platinum was once a half decent idea but since it was introduced we as a club have took off and the demand is why much more for tickets.

However how can they offer platinum and drop to a ballot, a fair few bought platinum to get points to get tickets

I have some sympathy with new fans but would have more with those who have built points if a ballot was introduced

Yeah, I think there needs to be a better balance. The 18–25 system works well, but once someone turns 26, they no longer have any points to access away matches, which is something that might need to be reconsidered.

I can see it kicking off big time, there is huge resentment to tourists getting large chunks of tickets we all know they won't be subjected to these checks, also City allow passing on for superbia members who circumnavigate points for friends, hypocrisy reigns supreme

The 18-25 is a lottery and depends on the speed of your connection/processor etc.

90% of ST holders don't have points to go to away matches regularly, including most older fans who could have got them 19 years ago when demand was really low.

Wasn’t there something from next season that all clubs in the premier league had to have mobile/didital tickets. If that eventually comes in add facial recognition and it’ll be a lot harder to pass an away ticket on

And that won't change of we introduce a ballot system. Certainly the direct allocation to staff and hospitality won't.

There's nothing stopping them doing a Plat ballot for x% of the tickets and another for Gold.

There’s fewer than 50 Superbia members left. The junior pull through going to people with the most points means they essentially get 2 tickets each is more of a problem.

I’m not sure that either of the above is where the away ticket problem is.

Hospitality (in particular), OSC (how many supporters clubs have we got? Is it 2 per match per club unless it’s a reduced allocation like Bournemouth where it’s down to 1 per supporters club?) and club staff rather them going to loyalty point holders which is where the issues are.

I don’t think hospitality ticket holders receive loyalty points so unless they had a SC previously they may have few points. But just because you spend more through your business entertaining clients or you are wealthy enough to afford it why should you be able to obtain away tickets. They do go into a ballot though so even with zero points they may be able to get tickets. Those hospitality fans with loads of points c@n in theory enter the ballot and I think still buy via points. SC can do the same so they have two chances of manipulating the system. In the old days when SC organised coach travel etc and away followings weren’t as big in general 8 understand why they were being given extra tickets, not so sure it’s the case these days. Give 5% to staff, the rest to points.

So it was ok for SC to prop it all up before but no longer needed so fuck them off

That is what the club is doing anyway with local loyal fans so not surprised it creeps in elsewhere

No, what I am saying is that the original need for SC to prop up sales is not as great as it once was. Times have changed and the vast majority of the SC who want to attend every away game will be able to do so via points. What I disagree with is branches being able to give tickets to all and sundry just as I think it’s wrong that members of staff can give bundles of tickets to Barca fans etc. I know of people who regardless of points put a call into people at the club a few days before a game and tickets which have been sold out for days magically appear. We have seen better atmospheres at grounds where more fans can attend than day trippers and Pep is forever going on about it. The more tickets that go to points also means that more of the younger element can get their hands on tickets and not rely on the scramble for the 18-25 allocation.

Binned platinum years ago, absolutely no chance of getting anywhere near the top, I’d need everyone on 20k above to leave and then give me 8 years just to get to 20k

GK?
RB ? Khus, Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri
Rodders
Foden, Reijinders
Cherki, Haaland, Marmoush

should be but won't be the team
You just know Pep wil trust the old guard again. Might be a while before we see this team line up. The midfield to attack looks great and exciting going forward. Hopefully the old Rodders will plug that hole up and protect our fragile looking back 4.
