Unpleasant experience in Colin Bell Level 3 today

You wouldn't expect that in the 3rd tier of the Colin Bell Stand. South Stand Lower perhaps. It does sound like the man responsible was behaving excessively and needed to have a word with himself. He was sitting alone which speaks volumes.

Swearing! And at a football match too.

Good heavens! Thank goodness for jolly good Samaritans like yourself.

We will rid the game of this riffraff.

I'm with you on this. Obviously we all suffer from a bit of Tourrete's when watching football, but you'd imagine anyone with any decency would try and tone it down if small kids are near. Then to carry on and not even apologise when asked not to is pretty out of order.

Boom.

Also hearing swearing in the kippax never hurt me at age 6.

The gentrification of football continues.

Surely a difference between swearing and a torrent of filth which is what this seems like?

The lad has already said he expected some bad language.
I am a fairly respectable bloke but I find it difficult to hold my tongue at the football, especially if we are playing shite like today in the first half.

As for Khaldoon not being impressed, I do plenty of things I am sure he'd frown upon, luckily he isn't my dad nor keeper.

I find it hard to hold my tongue too at times - to be honest 1st half I was that gobsmacked by the abject display I couldn't speak!

Fair point about Khaldoon - I still a bit wound up about the whole incident.

The chap in the OP is saying that he can deal with swearing bit this was over and above. It doesn't sound to me like he was being precious and I've posted that I swear in front of my kids and they just know what I'm like when I watch football. This prick sounds like he was either pissed or playing the big man or both and there's a difference.

Judging by what you post on here, I imagine you're an extremely opinionated but decent bloke. I'd be staggered if I was sat next to you at a match with my 7 year old lad in tears because of your behaviour, I asked you to tone it down and you told me to get a grip because that's what happened on the Kippax.
