A lot of my favorites already posted. As a random entry, this one always makes me happy...
Reminds me of a military term.... a mate of mine joined an army regiment with a feather on their hats... the OC asked him "what do you think of being able to wear the regimental feather on your cap then Sergeant?"....... The reply was "Well Sir, they do say if you wanna look a twat, wear a silly hat!" Went down like a lead balloon
