not sure why everyone would be against signing upson to be honest?!?!? hes the one we should have went for first time!!! not that i dont think lescott is a good player,i just dont think hes a £24 million player!! upson gets in ahead of lescott for england so if hes good enough for capello then hes good enough for me.hes and old fashioned centre back who does the basics very well and that the present time thats what we need!!!

Injury prone, didn't cut it at Arsenal, not an established top 4 player and no champions league experience (possibly a few appearances for Arsenal at most) I know we've got injuries at the moment but we really should be setting the bar higher than Upson. If he signed he'd get a few games before fading to be a squad player when everyone returns to fitness....not what we need...But, if we get him hopefully he'll be immense, he is English and with this being a world cup year he'll be desperate to impress so hopefully it would turn out ok, but he wouldn't be first choice, for me anyway.

He may not be better than what we have, but we have bugger all at the moment, however no Chellini if Upson comes, games are coming up thick and fast.
