we must be really confident on lescott not to be trying for upson!! i think he would be a quality addition to the squad and another international to partner toure/ned.

The latest press noises point to Upson joining Villa. Could see it happening.
 
Villa are desperate for a defender and hes english so fits the Oneil profile.

I have come round to the way of thinking that Distain would be a better backup option if Lescott does not happen (THough it looks likely now)

Hes similar ability, let footed and only a year older. Pompey are so ******* £4 million would get him and he woul jump at the chance of comming back. Decent stop gap and bettter than paying £12 million for Upson.
