This US blockade is a paper tiger. Very few ships moving through the strait and the major shipping lines will not go anywhere near it if there is any kind of threat.

Now, Iran is blockading it, not allowing any ships through.

I think they're only blocking ships to and from Iran. I guess it's to limit Iran's oil sales and maybe to get China to put pressure on Iran.
