US & Israel attack Iran

Anyone thinking Iran will be a better place without that leadership is delusional. Its that sort of despotic leadership that keeps a lid on things unfortunately.

The country will be a wasteland in a few years, and really that's what a lot of people want if they're honest about themselves, instead of pretending this is all good for Iran.

Israel won't have to worry about them.... for a few months. Then the new leadership will take up exactly the same fight against Israel. Nothing solved, lots killed, trumpian politics.

We will probably never know the identity of the mystery traders who have made fortunes out of the attack. I'm struggling to think of anyone who loves money that much

Apparently one trader made 6 million and then lost the lot on another bet.

Yep this will be Iraq mk 2 a new breeding ground for terrorists. America left Iraq in a bigger mess but hi they killed Hussain.

Interesting to see how they get all of the Brits out of Dubai (if that's going to happen). Planes can't takeoff and the nearest safe place is probably Riyadh, 11hrs drive away, or Muscat in Oman which is closer.

There's a lot of people to evacuate!

Tony Blair 2
Listening to the lying cunts

We were an active participant from the beginning in the Iraq war. We took no part in the attack on Iran, but there have now been attacks on British military bases and on countries who also took no part on the attack on Iran.

A Government has to respond to a direct attack and that response should be proportionate to the attack/threat to British interests and personnel.

Totally agree. Look what happened to Yugoslavia when Tito died. Tunisia also gone same way.

Regardless of who threw the first punch.
America will not be on the end of a possible ballistic missile

Why should we evacuate ex pats? They made their choice to live there avoiding tax over here so should make their own way back. Not my opinion just up for discussion before I get lynched

So just stick to the status quo forever? Do nothing because doing something may not turn out perfect? I've no problem with isolationism but surprised so many people seem to just want to leave the Middle East to itself.

Looks like things are starting to move at Abu Dhabi airport looking at flight radar. Nothing happening Dubai as of yet.

Please remind of a war where the end result has been perfect?

Is this the same feeling you had when Blair went into Iraq?
Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. We know for certain that the terrorists in Iran have been developing nuclear weapons for years. I'll ask you do we sit on our hands and let them finally get the them.

Were UK bases attacked before we allowed the US to use them for attacking Iran in an illegal war?

It is my understanding that no UK bases were used as part of the initial attack. Permission to use the bases was granted after UK bases came under attack. The usage of our bases is conditional - ie to deal with the specific threat to the bases. We seem to be threading a very delicate legal path through this mess.

If my understanding is incorrect then I’m happy to be put right.
