If we were blowing up Tel Aviv like we have Baghdad, Tehran and elsewhere, then sure as hell Israelis would target British citizens. After all they did back in the day in Palestine. That said - Trump is all about Trump. And I think that his overwhelming instinct is that a troupes-on-the-ground war with Iran is going to be massively unpopular even among his MAGA base... and hence that there's no fucking way in hell that Trump will commit ground forces to this limited war.

The main purpose of this war is to boost Trump's popularity (it remains to be seen if this succeeds); the second purpose is to deflect from the Epstein files.
