According to the BBC, it was going from the UAE to China and the 'blockade' supposedly only relates to ships going to or coming from Iranian ports.

I don’t think it’s as straightforward as Trump would have anyone believe. Similarly to when Starmer said we would do same to Russian shadow fleet and we have done precisely fuck all about it as it’s more complex and fraught with risk than merely bullish words - and Starmer is light years ahead of Trump when it comes to considered statements.
As the world is getting used to, Trump sets out to alarm rather than strictly enforce his ramblings - the markets have stopped trading based on anything he tweets - but on this case it’s at least got the Iranians attention. In terms of enforcement we can reasonably expect the US to try and enforce it on Iranian flag or non-flagged ships (rather than other flagged nations). This will likely keep them in port for the time being while the Iranians plot their next move - quite what the US will do if they try and pass the “blockade” is another question altogether.

I read that Iran is now talking to European leaders, we should all engage with them, form an alliance and fuck trump off.
I would certainly think about a European coalition buying oil from Mexico and sending it to Cuba.
