Brilliant. I read something today (Guardian) that said the regime of 6 weeks ago would not have countenanced this kind of media/propaganda but, Trump murdered them all so a new younger generation have emerged. They know the power of social media and they are winning the battle.

The UK government have to try and get a fresh, more up to date mindset regarding the bully Trump.

While they are part of a group to address the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, without Trump invited, the French take the stance.....

'French diplomats believe Trump's participation would make their proposals less attractive to Tehran and jeopardize diplomatic progress'.

Meanwhile the UK have reservations........

'However, British officials have reportedly expressed concern that sidelining the US leader would enrage Trump and create further diplomatic obstacles'.

Common sense dictates that on all known form, he simply cannot be included. With all the best will in the world, it's not possible to have meaningful discussions to find a sensible resolution if he and his regime are involved.

The world is moving on and the US is going to become more and more isolated, that is the way forward. Grow some backbone and stand up to him, while also ignoring him and forging a new path.

If the EU could by some miracle work together and do something constructive instead of just talking, then although there might be some tough years to overcome, all this will eventually turn out positive.

Words, words, words.

Words are wasted on Israel (and the US). The UN may mean well, but it's a toothless organization and one that Israel and the US feel comfortable ignoring.

Then its up to other countries to use those words and turn it into something real.

I think we're starting to see that now. UK lagging behind.

I assume that some of this may be having a higher level of exposure should Trump rage-act; as an example, do other European countries have as much reliance on the US for oil?

There's a chance that a European collective has decided that at least one country needs to stay on half-decent terms with them.
