Is there any chance of jail over this ?

This is the least serious of the pending cases against him. It’s a pretty serious white collar crime but it’s most significance because it’s pierced the bubble of not going after a former president and the de facto leader of the Republican Party.


It’s the Georgia election interference (“I just want you to find me 11,700 votes”) that is the most dangerous one for him IMO because he’s literally caught on tape.

Inciting January 6 is the most serious but it’s probably much harder to prove.

Been watching Fox for the last 10 minutes it’s like a wake - my first reaction was brilliant! but have just remembered this is Trump and this may propel his campaign if no charges stick.

I doubt it for this charge. Still a long way to go for conviction before a judge has to decide if they the balls to jail him. If guilty, i wouldnt be surprised if he got a suspended sentence or something soft.

Yeah but if he is fighting this whilst fighting to get on the GOP ticket that will prove hard. Fighting on two fronts is hard - as Hitler and Napoleon proved

The best case scenario for the Dems is that this wins Trump the primary.

Because Biden and Biden candidates have already shown they will comfortably beat Trump candidates, the last 3 elections.

Plus any genuine swing voters will not be won over by trump standing trial or getting convicted of crimes.

Fake news, Democrat plot, "They've all got it in for me"
Plenty of bullshit at as many rallies that he can organise to denounce the fake new media who are "enemies of the state".
Then perhaps when he realises his goose is cooked he will try some deal with DeSantis to ensure if he stands aside (as he is so so magnanimous) that a presidential pardon will be forthcoming, should he win.
I may have to go and watch Tucker to see how he tries to spin this. I'm sure it will be comedy gold
