Bizarre behaviour. Got to be up there with that shot of Biden looking out to lunch at that rally for stand out weirdness from a US President.

What emotion is he feeling right now? Irritation? Is he reflecting on his own mortality?

Just really odd.

Assuming it's unadulterated, it is a truly strange picture.

As for the reflective thinking, a narcissist can do it but typically in a very shallow way. If he's contemplating his own mortality it's probably at the level of how he'll be remembered etc. rather than anything deeper. He's possibly more likely irritated at the disruption it's causing him or how the situation looks.

Yes, definitely not in a reflective or deep way.

He will definitely be irritated at the attention being elsewhere, I just wondered if that was all he felt I guess.

He is becoming increasingly erratic I feel.

That'll be the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue as I was reminded the other day...... ;- |
Whatever, Trump seemed to be being portrayed as a useless and aloof individual not fully conversant with what was taking place in the room.
Incidentally, why did the photographer not rush to the aid of the prone person?
Maybe because lots of people already had and he didn't feel qualified to give a snap medical opinion or offer appropriate aid?

Would have thought the same reason war photographers take pictures of suffering, executions and children starving. They are there to document what's happening and don't get involved.

Whose, Trump's or the photographer's? I find everything about Trump weird but I was replying to the question about why the photographer didn't go to help. Did I miss something about the photographer being a photographer that was a bit weird?
Sorry mate, thought you were talking about Trump!

Trump just looks like everything has shut down and is waiting for further input. I'd have thought a normal person would have moved away, called for help or at worst just sat down.
To me it was all an inconvenience to Trump. Like everyone was there for him and then something got in the way of that. The idea that this would be a terrible image didn't seem to register. A normal politician would recognise that and shut it all down and get the press out of the room or try to get involved and make out like they cared. Trump just had no fcks either way.

In his 1st term Trump would have had a pr person there ready to step in. He's done away with anyone telling him what to do so these sorts of things will happen.

There is a video or two of the incident and it shows this pose at the end.

Everything gets hyper analysed online (which is why the conspiracy industry is so thickset).
Irrespective of that, the timing and situation of this image gives birth to a thousand words and is a rather
felicitous snapshot of Trump's detrimental hold on the US at the moment.

Also think he missed his tanning session that day. He looks like a washed ashore sperm whale cadaver.

This is a baffling decision, I thought the Supreme Court was there to protect the people??!!
It’s not a good article. In effect it’s a technical stay ordered by Judge Brown Jackson, who is responsible for making such routine decisions given her geographic responsibility set, not a USC overturn.

Didn’t you find his behaviour at least a bit weird?

This might help illuminate things for you:

Donald Trump's archive interviews with Howard Stern have revealed a number of embarrassing and horrifying quotes once uttered by the now-President of the United States, including his rating of a number of Hollywood actresses. However, the most shocking tale of them all comes from a July 2008 tape in which Trump reveals that he once turned away from an 80-year-old man who had fallen off a stage and hit his head.

The story came about as he was discussing his uneasiness for looking at blood, which prompted him to recall the incident. His story makes for uncomfortable reading.

"I was at Mar-a-Lago and we had this incredible ball, the Red Cross Ball, in Palm Beach, Florida.
And we had the Marines. And the Marines were there, and it was terrible because all these rich people, they're there to support the Marines, but they're really there to get their picture in the Palm Beach Post.

So, you have all these really rich people, and a man, about 80 years old - very wealthy man, a lot of people didn't like him - he fell off the stage...

So what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died.

And you know what I did? I said, 'Oh my God, that's disgusting,' and I turned away. I couldn't, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn't want to touch him. He's bleeding all over the place, I felt terrible. You know, beautiful marble floor, didn't look like it. It changed colour. Became very red.

And you have this poor guy, 80 years old, laying on the floor unconscious, and all the rich people are turning away...

What happens is, these 10 Marines from the back of the room. They come running forward, they grab him, they put the blood all over the place—it's all over their uniforms—they're taking it, they're swiping [it], they ran him out, they created a stretcher.

They call it a human stretcher, where they put their arms out with, like, five guys on each side... I was saying, 'Get that blood cleaned up! It's disgusting!' The next day, I forgot to call [the man] to say is he OK. It's just not my thing."
