Edit: Just to be clear, I was talking about adjectival use, not use as qualified nouns: unemployment is low, jobs are plentiful, gas prices are low, domestic manufacturing is strong.

Indeed low gas prices are in the eye of the beholder e. g. It’s not all bad out there though.
