Where is the understanding that if the Dems actually made policy for people and not deny them the things acceptable to live by that they would keep out the GOP for years?
Was it not Obama not governing for the people that let the GOP in? Trump got in on a similar rhetoric that Sanders was on, but we know what he did with that.
You'd have to ask why the Dems would deny a politician that links very well with the people that opportunity to give them the seating power for years/ a decade at least.
The GOP don't win anything, the Dems let them in with poor policy.

I could see the number of cowardly terrorist attacks ala Oklahoma City increasing, but how the fuck are marginalized cosplay idiots going to take down a government? Why, when they can vent and steam and own libs for free at no risk to themselves on the internet? No one’s taking away their livelihoods unlike in the South in the 1860s where in effect the entire economic underpinning of the region rested on free labo(u)r and preventing more John Browns.
Now if the electoral process is corrupted in certain states on a massive scale somehow, I could see revolts, and force needed for put downs, and a lot of pitched legal battles, but nothing on the scale of a CW.

why? Jan 6th showed why. They think if they mobilize together they can do it - Bubba and Billy Bob cosplay being special forces in the woods at weekend in a stab vest that accommodates their 25 stone bodies and huff and puff about using out of date equipment.
If something like Jan 6th happened with them all being armed a volley of shots taking out the first row would see more being crushed to death in the rush to escape than would ever be shot. You get it over here - they call themselves the "majority" when in reality they are a small minority.

Trump & co lied (really badly*) that they didn't have the search warrant for the FBI raid on Mar a Lago and portrayed it as an unfounded, illegal raid by a politically controlled FBI and started shouting about how the warrant should be published to prove it was bullshit.
The republican media machine went after the (Trump appointed) judge and the (Trump appointed) head of the FBI and Merrick Garland, so Garland held a press conference and revealed what everyone with a brain already knew, Trump & his lawyers did have the search warrant. Not only that, but they're petitioning the court to make it public.
So now Trump is in a pickle because a) Everyone knows he has the warrant and can release it himself, and b) Now has to say publicly in court whether he wants it made public which means either saying yes and a document that clearly incriminates him is released, or no and the fact he's trying to cover up a document while yelling about it getting published is laid bare.
*On the day of the raid, Trump's lawyer went on Fox News and described what the warrant said, before they switched tactics to denying ever getting the warrant.

He got in based on lack of action from Dems, lack of healthcare, jobs going overseas, lack of wages, people losing their homes in the 2008 crash/ fleecing and no one of any substantial note going to jail, but being bailed out and people getting nothing in the same instance.

Trumps 2017 tax bill cut corporation tax from 35 to 21%. Literally the opposite of what Sanders wanted. He dropped the top tax rate from 40% to 37% when Sanders wanted it to be 52%.
In fact Sanders hated Trumps tax bill so much he keeps introducing legislature to reverse it!

Bernie Sanders fucking despises Trump and damn near all of his policy pledges, kept or unkept.
If Trump campaigned on similar policies to Sanders and broke his word, you could forgive people who thought they were closer to each other than the mainstream democrats. The truth, however, is they never shared any similarities and people who jumped from Sanders to Trump did it out of childish spite because their guy lost, and in doing so they made their own lives and so many others much worse.
