Not that it will make anyone here see clearer, the games being played, but I will say this about Trump and the Dems.

Trump did not start MAGA. MAGA will not end with Trump. MAGA goes back as far as Reagan so, essentially, it's Reaganism you're dealing with, not Trumpism.

Trump is not really a Republican. He's, now, not a Democratic. He offered donations to BOTH parties, including funding the Hillary Clinton campaign against Obama, after they attended his wedding.

He's a POPULIST. He will do what's best to seek favouritism from the people to get power. That's why he loved his rating on his TV show and why the MSM covered his rise (they gave him billions of free advertisement even when his podium was empty!) against the likes of better politicians with actual ideas.

You are seeing the same game played out from the Dems. Did you know, they've voted against vetoing 'Dark Money' from campaign funding (knowing where the source of the money was coming from), which was a campaign promise in Biden's push? they are, actively funding crazy Republicans against Progressive candidates in order to beat them in races as they'd, likely, lose against Progressive candidates.

The Dems do not want anyone else to offer any solutions to problems.

They want their eternal fight with the GOP and people get sucked into it and vote against their best interests.

As you say they're hidden in plain sight.

There's a hell of a lot of GOP members who want their own Putin or Christian Taliban running their country. And what is the counter?

A neo liberal party run by billionaires who say the right things but don't do it when in power.

We have the same issue here. Had the chance to change it, but the fear mongering won.

Now we have save the same choice and it's a shit one.

What you don’t seem to get is that irrespective of his politics Trump is first and foremost a criminal and it’s never a good idea to have a criminal in charge.

What you don't seem to get is that other 'politicians' have become 'criminals' in their time is and of office.

He ain't special in that regard, just a convenient voting opportunity/ strategy.

Plus he happens not to be a war criminal, which is super rare, but something, I'd think you're annoyed about...

The “counter” is get them OUT by any means necessary with whomever isn’t them. Conservative, moderate, progressive anti-MAGAs — I don’t give a fuck. We can sort that out once they are gone.

The Trumpian cult is uniquely bad. The Tea Party may have been co-opted by Trump and fed the cult but without him it was a fringe, and largely geographically-isolated movement.

Only a fool would ignore other politicians that have been criminals as politicians, literally! People have gone to jail and returned to the political field!

Only a fool would ignore the politicians that have started illegal wars that should, literally, face war crimes.

A lot here, clearly, will not know how the media talked the man up to be a future president in the 90s!! he was on quite a few high rated TV shows, they thought that much of him!

They have a lot to blame for his appointment.

The guy is unfit to govern and all you've got is whataboutery in its most primative form? To top that with 'at least he's not a war criminal' is absolutetly laughable.

If he's "unfit to govern" who should you be blaming? Not something you'll ever answer cos you're to busy focusing on the symptom, not the cause.
