I wrote the US off after the Rittenhouse trial and haven’t really bothered following what’s happening since then.

Actually its like alot of places, lots of parts are stunning, the vast majority people don't even know about and unlikely you would even hear about them its also full of alot of great people... Sadly there is also a sizeable minority of loud dickheads...... and Florida you remove the last two problems and you are 90% of the way to fixing the US

Democracy at work.....

A majority of Americans (62%) told Pew - a research centre based in Washington DC - in 2019 that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. Only 38% said it should be illegal in all or most cases.

Similar figures were reflected by CBS News in 2021, when people were asked specifically about overturning Roe v Wade.

In that poll, 62% of those asked said they wanted it kept in place and only 38% said they wanted it struck down.
