We are a loooong way from November 5th.

And, while the Electoral College is antiquated, it’s what we have.

Democrats, or at least the left wing of the Democratic spectrum, seem willing to cut their nose off to spite their face…especially the righteous young ideologues who think they know better and will make the change! Instead, they’ll get 4 years of dictatorship they don’t like, then bitch and moan about it and say they “just couldn’t vote for Biden!”

Based on the “fuck Europe & NATO” sentiments Trump has openly expressed, one wonders just how giddy Putin et al must be at the prospect of the Orange rapist being reelected?!

In a Trump vs Biden presidential race, if Biden isn’t your answer, then Trump is your answer! It’s that simple!

Sit it out and Trump gets elected, YOU did that!

Anyone who doesn’t want the Orange Rapist as their president HAS TO vote for Biden…even if you have to hold your nose to do it!

If you thought the stakes were high when Hillary was beaten, after seeing and hearing from him for the last 8 years, it’s clear the stakes are much, much higher in 2024. A Trump would never has to run again should be feared, because he is too stupid to realize the damage he does, yet evil enough to do literally anything that lines his pockets or he thinks makes him look tough…like being a dictator!

There is no excuse for any sentient mirror fogger to not vote for Biden. NONE!

I think you’re conflicting questions - in this case the question was who else the Democrats *could* put up instead of Biden, not whether they actually would.

We all know that barring something amazing, it’s Biden vs Trump again which - while accepting its early and polls are almost useless - right now means Trump.

As said, Trump will get his 75m voters no matter what he says or does and so the only question is how does Biden get record numbers out again to vote for him.

As of right now, ‘I’m better than Trump’ is clearly not going to be sufficient, and as said, he has a huge perception issue that means his actual successes on the economy aren’t going to do it either.

No, it isn’t. Biden will run on his record as President and decades of service to the nation and against an insurrectionist likely criminal. The “strategy” will be to make that as clear as possible that this is the choice. The hope will be that foxhole self-shitters like you won’t have a countervailing influence.

As for the House Republicans, has there ever been such a large group of uneducated adults elected to office in the history of the country?

The problem is that there are large swaths of this country that couldn’t NAME all 50 states, let alone find them on a map. In fact, one of the talk shows recently did the “man on the street” quiz with a map of the world. They weren’t asking where is Estonia or Turkmenistan, they were asking “Point to the United States on this map” and “draw a circle where you think Europe is.” A fucking national embarrassment…and yet they get the same vote as the atomic scientist!!

Trump knows his base IS base, and plays to their stupidity and ego! Without his father, he would have been one of them!

Unfortunately for America -- and the world -- the rebalancing of the seesaw is already occurring, just like Trump's venality and lies with "Hillary's emails". Now it's insane multiply-indicted cult-leading fascist insurrectionist with "Biden is old."

He's not just old though is he? He's suffering a steep cognitive decline. The very fact that he's the better option is a damning indictment of the system. He should have picked a better running mate in 2020 and handed over the baton rather than relying on Trump getting banned from the race.

Wait. What? Where is the proof he’s relying on “Trump getting banned from the race?” I thought everyone was saying Biden would get smoked by any other Republican. He shouldn’t want Trump banned.

Of course he should have announced he was a one-term President two years ago. I’ve said that several times. He didn’t, and here we are. Shoulda woulda coulda doesn’t help here.

How precisely should the system be changed?

I am cognizant so many are upset at the options. I am also cognizant that all of you think there are or should be options. You called Biden “the better option.” You are all wrong. There is only one option: whomever is running against Trump. Because no one who runs against him is an existential threat to democracy, and he is.

It is getting tiring repeating this. Every time you bring up Biden’s issues you bring everyone a little closer to getting Trump elected. You chip away at the argument that any alternative is better. You give milquetoasts the excuse they need to disengage when what they need is fucking intelligence and courage to just pull the lever.

Biden is what we have right now. Stop fucking moaning and support him, whatever his issues, or start preparing for a much uglier future.
