Her record on voting shows she was pretty much in lock step with the Don, but she seems to have found her breaking point with what happened on Jan 6.Tonight, when Liz Cheney loses her primary, she supposed to be giving a speech in which she announces she is now going to devote her full-time efforts to recapturing the nation from Trumpism, and ask for like-minded GOPers, Democrats and independents to join her.
It will be interesting. It could be a dud, and she neutralized, but somehow I think (and hope) it will be more akin to an Obi-Wan Kenobi moment: "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
Can't stand her politics, but she's shown a lot of guts (albeit the guts we would have expected any moral, thinking person to show).

Butigieg would be a great shout. He's articulate, calm, well informed and compassionate and seems to have a firm grasp on reality; all fine attributes for any aspiring presidential candidate. The field will be heavily whittled down if the OJ runs, but it would be good to see De Santis & Cheney beating him up from both sides on stage for a few debates!
The bigger issue for me is who runs against Biden, if he chooses to run again! Fingers crossed he doesn’t, and Buttigieg, Newsom and the required female(s) run to inject some progressive youth into the race.
Buttigieg versus De Santis would be interesting, as would Newsom vs De Santis…a California vs Florida Governors battle!
