nice to have a propar President at the helm.

US President Joe Biden has signed into law a $1.2tn (£894bn) infrastructure spending bill, marking a legislative achievement for his administration.

Another massive social spending bill is currently being considered in Congress.

This is the bill that the majority of Republican's voted against (bar 12 I think). Those very same Republican's that voted against it are now going back to their constituents and lauding the achievements of the infrastructure bill and the benefits it will be bring.

Shameless c*nts!!!

Unfortunately not that long until Trump will be President again.

Biden getting the infrastructure bill through will mean nothing to Trump supporters.

The narrative is that Biden is senile and has done nothing. Whatever evidence there is that shows anything different to that will be ignored by the elements of the media that the right wing get their information from. Every time Biden stumbles on a word or looks like he's dozed off will continue to be seized upon and amplified by the media to "prove" their assertion that he's senile. Sadly it's quite likely that enough people will be influenced by this nonsense to make the next election close enough for the dirty tricks to be brought in to deliver a Trump victory.

I wouldn't count your chickens just yet on Trump being POTUS again. There's a long way to go and just because he has such a tight grip on the Republicans and the perceptions of Biden isn't great after his Afganistan faux pas.

Showing absolutely zero self awareness

Part of his defence in a previous trial was that he was playing a character. He claimed he didn't actually believe all of what he was saying and it was for entertainment purposes.

It looks like this extract is taken from a segment where he is using these court losses as proof of the conspiracy against him and drum up more business.

Presumably to pay for the damages he has to pay out.

Biden's Afghanistan faux pas?

That would depend on your perspective, or where you got your information from. Either way it was a shit sandwich, engineered by the previous administration. The Biden administration did about as good a job as can be expected under the circumstances.

A lot of people still stand firmly behind Trump's GOP, but these are the kind of people who will never vote for a Dem if their life depended on it; anti Vaxer's, anti Communist, anti anything that generally isn't white Christian. But they will have a huge fight on their hands to get Trump back into the White House given the huge pile of evidence starting to stack up against him.

Fox 'News' did a recent segment about Biden stumbling his words, but their footage it had been crudely splice to alter the narrative. It was so badly done that his arm actually disappeared half way through a sentence. I've seen N.Korean propaganda that looks more believable.

I don't think Afghanistan is important.

Biden's lousy approval numbers are a function of one thing and one thing only: the economy. Some percentage of voters -- the cult members -- are always going to hate him, so he starts 40 points in the hole to begin with. But now consumers are perturbed by inflation and frustrated by product shortages. Not exactly sure how Biden is supposed to fix this, other than hoping as supply chains re-normalize, inflation and shortages truly are "transitory."

Next comes the winter COVID wave so expect those approval numbers to go down further. Gerrymandering has effectively locked in a Republican Congress at the midterms, plus its very rare for a sitting President's party to do well anyway. But you're right that with the GOP in the grip of the Trumpian cult, it's hard to see how they can make headway with disaffected voters either in 2024. Long way to go. I'm still not sure if Biden is running TBH.

Obviously a long way to go yet, but it's going to be interesting. We'll see what the next major scandal off the GOP cab stand is going to be and how that plays out in the media. One of the biggest issues I see is how the centre/left leaning media deal with things in the run up to the mid-terms. They can easily end up playing into the hands of the GOP and turning voters away from the Democrats.

I think that the best thing that you can say about Biden in 2020 is that he wasn't Trump. It will be no surprise to see Biden step aside if he feels that he can't beat Trump.
It will be interesting to see how many Trump sycophants will be prepared to don the orange boiler suit and do bird for Trump now that Bannon has opted for this. Personally I can see a few of them squealing to avoid getting measured for that suit,

As I was saying...

You could easily be forgiven that it's a comedy sketch, but it wasn't. It was the rampant narcissism at the end that got me.

Fox News hosts mocked after ‘hilarious’ blunder involving Netflix show You (msn.com)

I refuse to believe that’s not a very bad skit.

It was a skit, they have previous. For example this (while covering a story about people getting hurt taking selfies)

That's up there with, "Hu is the president of China." "I don't know."

All of these are variations of possibly the most well known comedy routine of all time, Who's on first?
