The cringiest sycophantcy you are ever likely to see, Froggy is looking at him as if he envies Stormy Daniel's because Big Donald got undressed and made an indecent proposal.

It’s like Fred Trump hired Donald a friend and he never grew out of it.

The big interview that Froggy has managed to get himself a free jolly in Florida for, and yet they don't even have 100K views yet.
He sounds so desperate blowing smoke up his Trumps arse. The fact is that Trump is so toxic only these backwards wacko conservative channels will entertain his bullshit. Thankfully GB news is completely on its arse now Farage is captain of the ship.

Wonder when the abortion debate starts here.

We‘re never far behind the Americans.

Apart from Northern Ireland we don't have anywhere near the same proportion of religious fundamentalist fuckwits.

It’s been debated in the recent past in the house of commons and all of the arguments you can read in Hansard are sophistry and emotive bullshit.

As I have said before, these people aren't pro-life after the baby has been born. They don't give much thought to arguments about providing support services for young mothers, and benefits like child support.

Usually want to pay less tax to the state but give more to their evangelical churches.

Unless the religious fuckwits exponentially outbreed the rest of us to reverse declining religiosity in the general population, it simply won't happen.

Unless a fancy slogan is written on the side of a bus, I agree.

The previous one relied on evoking our new national religion, hard to see how you could make convincing (even if dishonest) argument on similar lines.

Help the NHS, abort less fetuses to spend more money in maternity wards, and A&E for backstreet abortions gone wrong.

Doesn't have to be NHS, or religion but struggling to see the overarching idealogy (with enough support) that they co-opt.

There are many christian fundamentalists In the US that are as commited to their warped doctorine and as bad and as the taliban, god forbid if they ever fully took control of the place
They did for 4 years and although they’ve lost full control they’ve consolidated their grip in quite a few states and in the Supreme Court.

Turning into a fundamentalist country.
It isn’t, it’s always been an immensely stupid country in parts; it’s just the way gerrymandering and the Trumpian cult works. The desperation engendered by watching the nation turn less white, less male, less old (ie Millennials replacing Boomers) and less straight has resulted in panic stations among rural conservatives and the election of coat-tailing, ass-tonguing idiot hardliners all fighting to be the hardest of the hard. They are having their moment in the sun but they are watching the South get bluer demographically and they know time is short. The numbers outweigh them eventually and they know it which is why they are trying all means fair and foul to lock their power in. The question will be if democracy outlasts them. I used to be sure it would. I’m not anymore.

40 years ago, in high school, I heard the same thing. I suppose that demographics are changing but - from my perspective - it's possibly 4 generations or so down the line when it begins to make a big difference.

Normal congressman and his jolly, not at all odd christmas e-card ;-)

Are you sure? I see a resurgence of young right wingers in the states. Think gamergate, the alt-right, Jordan Peterson's followers, etc. Another interesting trend is the shift rightwards among non-religious men. I remember when the God Delusion came out in about 2006 along with a bunch of other books highly critical of religion, and back then if you were non-religious, you were almost always left wing or liberal. Nowadays, you get absolutely loads of these younger types who are atheists and flirting with the far right. The right have managed to appeal beyond the traditional religious types they used to go for. Still mainly white people though.

No, I'm not sure, but the question was are we turning into a fundamentalist country and your points would seem to argue even more that we aren't. IMO neither the radical right nor the radical left have time for God because both are totalitarian -- i.e. all power rests in one decision-maker at the top of the authority chain. They may USE God (i.e. "I as a human have God's backing") to convince/coerce the masses though.

That documentary on the insurrection that showed live time footage in its terrifying reality, with the interviews with the participants, shows it is. God - Trump - Guns. With an imaginary but real link put between them that they thought was genuine. Nutters.

That rapey little fuck is a total waste of oxygen.

The most annoying thing is that you n private, he’s about as religious as I am. But he knows that saying such things will wind up the left and play well with the idiots and rubes that vote red.
