This clip is extraordinary in so many ways.

The bit where Tucker talks about fighting imaginary threats while avoiding real ones is just so....obliviously on the nose it's almost parody.

What amazes me is how the Republican party manages to garner roughly 50% of the popular vote in elections, having repeatedly denigrated women, gays, and pretty much anyone else who isn't a white, male Christian.

Beats me. But as someone who largely supports most Democratic initiatives - Machin has been a source of disappointment on numerous occasions. I'm inclined to let him take up his offer to leave the Democratic Party.

We've had an answer to prayer in the UK with Liar Johnson. Time to remind people in the US who came up with Johnson as Britain's Trump...
