Talking of SCOTUS, has anyone suggested Brett Kavenaugh modify his house to have a single fortified entry/exit door and arm his housekeeper?As you well realize, SCOTUS is heavily stacked conservative - in the wake of upcoming anti-abortion and pro-gun rulings... well this is frankly small potatoes.
If there's a silver lining in all of this - it's that SCOTUS is so far Right and off majority sentiment, that their rulings are going to spark widespread anger; and since the majority of US citizens oppose their far Right stance - there's some chance that blowback in upcoming elections against Republican sentiment may occur.

However there is nothing here that the political bodies cant sort out. With decent working majority the Dems could create laws to counter act what SCOTUS is doing. A clear act to legalise abortion as an example would give no room for courts to influence it.
The public opinion is on there side - but the electoral system is stacked in favour of the GOP. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
