The challenging question for me is who’s going to run for the Democrats if Biden doesn’t or can’t. I’ve felt for a long time that he was a four-year President — a “bridge” name, so I’ve been wondering this for awhile.

And yet, there are people pushing him to run another 4 years! A situation that may set Democrats back a decade!

So, let me ask you; what are the REAL alternatives ahead for the Dems and what direction will that take them factoring in what's happening for people today?

Thanks for the response, by the way. It was unexpected.

Harris will be chosen by the super delegates should he not run again. They've probably already set it up just in case. I doubt she'd win mind.

And that is another problem.

She's uninspiring and flips under pressure.

The Dem future is real real problem.
As you've mentioned before and a former producer even admitted it. MSNBC nor CNN wont endorse "progressive" choices.

If by some miracle a progressive was nominated they'd go full Fox News for Trump or whichever deranged **** with his ideology is standing against them.

You know what puzzles me? What the issue is with allowing a progressive a platform to discuss the politics of the day? Why do things have to be so linear between centre left and centre right?

To think that Progressives wanted to do something about gun control ages ago but only now, after the heavy toll from delays, are Americans finally acting. Same with health care and wages to name a couple of things.

The fear of Progressives amuses me.

Being progressive means taking power away from some very well established people. And they will use anything within their influence to discredit anyone who dares challenge them.

I don’t know that it is for sure but I’m getting a bit worried about it. I don’t think Harris has a chance at the nomination.

Sanders has stated he's willing to run if Biden doesn't. There's no one else in the field that stands out and no, not Buttigieg.

It's a mistake if Sanders doesn't run anyway as the what's happening in the US is ripe for change. But I have said this about your country and mine, that course correction is needed and not just an attempt to steady things as they are now cos that's clearly not working.

You agree Harris is not a good option.

How have things things gotten to this point?

Well, you never know. In 76 Carter came out of relative obscurity to win the nomination. So maybe there’s someone else waiting in the wings. I don’t think Sanders can win but he has an awful lot of support among younger people I think and US demographics would point to a big increase in 18-21 year old voters by 24 — if they vote.

I agree i think she would be a bad choice. The Dems have a problem in that theyre pretty uninspiring. klobuchar or buttigeg are probably the best of a poor bunch but ones a woman and ones gay and to be honest i still dont think the US is open minded enough to vote for either.

maybe it is time for sanders but how old is he now?

But the Dems have had their last 'Carter' in Obama, who came out of the relative blue, using Progressive rhetoric to get the attention of the people, revealed his true nature as a president and the Dems have, subsequently, pulled up any pathway for that to happen again.

We know this as we continue to see who they support in primaries against Progressives starting to make waves.

It's like watching someone self harm and bleed out through spite!

It's simply jaw dropping to watch!

The Dem problem has always been of what to vote against and not what to vote for. They need a villian in the GOP to separate themselves as policies are only different by degrees, which is why they're centre left against centre right.

Trouble is, they'd happily pitch a politician with more right wing tendencies against anyone more left of the Dem position blurring the lines between them and the GOP, even more! It's crazy!

Sanders broke a lot of trust in Progressive politics by, essentially, abandoning his drive against these policies today. He knew that the outcome of Democratic policy would look like this through his campaign!

I don't know if there's space for Sanders but, ironically, it could look like 'the lesser of two evils' between him and a Dem suit(again irony with him fitted in that suit now).

Turner says she might run for Pres in 2024, but she's already been crushed by the machine as she tried to assimilate into the party by being 'nicer' in her last primary.

I think think whoever fights for the working civilian cause(health care, wages, safety) has a shot, cos things are getting worse, not better.

Trump election campaign manager speaking today.

He's been ordered to attend. However, he's also the election manager of Liz Cheney's challenger so he may use it to constantly attack her rather than answer questions.

I believe there looking at using his taped and closed deposition which is likely to be even better as it’s in the can now.
Oops.

Also there's a "major" supreme court decision expected shortly. I'm not saying Rowe v Wade but I'm sure a political judgement like that would push the committee down the news agenda.
