Could be. Or could be he’s just trying to out-Trump Trump to get the cultists on his side, and then he’ll try to McCarthy them when the time is right. Note how McCarthy has flat out ignored the MAGA wing in the debt ceiling debate. Let them scream and rant. As usual the MAGA wing and its collection of griftercunts will scream all the more loudly, radically and stupidly to try to regain attention (Marge the steroid abuser is on an Impeach Biden kick currently). But if McCarthy can ignore them on this topic he’s taken a step towards marginaliz(s)ing them. Still, the platform of the party remains “own the libs” with nothing else (literally) up until that wing is fully kicked to the curb. Gonna be a while, and an ugly, stupid, angry battle.

UK Lincoln, but I spend a bit of time in the US with work (I was in CA last week, and I'm back out to FL/NV/CA next month).

Also not looking for an argument; I'm just saying that party affinity isn't always a solid indicator of someones attitude to racism.
