I'm getting more convinced Trump has Mixed Dementia.
I'm currently looking after somebody with Mixed Dementia, so i'm pretty sensitive with certain mannerisms.

One of the biggest traits is repeating the same things daily, no matter how true. Because they can fully believe their own lies, they sound so convincing.
The worrying thing is they can also be manipulated fairly easily. To get her to eat certain foods, we just have to mention earlier that the food is one of her favourites. She will then happily finish every scrap on the plate.
She can be so easy to convince, she will often tell waiters that the meal she is having is her favourite and she has eaten it for years. Even though it isn't a meal she has ever had.

With memory loss, people tend to want to convince themselves and others that it isn't happening. So they take great care to accurately repeat the last things they heard. It doesn't take much to feed whatever information you want repeated. Trump repeating Russian propaganda word for word, and calling Zelensky a dictator is almost a perfect example. Trump actually asked "did i even say that?" yesterday, when asked if he still thought Zelensky a dictator etc.

So the question goes back to who is feeding Trump this information? (and more importantly, why?)

The right jump on any misstep of their opponents to accuse them variously of being drunk/senile/etc.

And the left seems to engage in this too, albeit to a lesser extent. Trump is not suffering from mixed dementia, he isn't senile, there's no proof that he's a Russian asset, etc. He is however a narcissist.

Why can’t I see the Trump thread unless someone adds to it?

You ain’t missing much. The US elected a moron despite knowing he is a moron and moron does moron things. Our prime interest is the impact on Ukraine and European security, which since 2016 has been increasingly obvious, needs to be controlled by Europe.

Beyond that, it’s an American problem.

In other news, Bondi appears to have written to Patel wanting to know why the FBI hadn't provided all the Epstein docs, and requiring them to be delivered by 8 am this morning.
Also that he has 14 days to report as to why the NY Field Office were withholding them.

So what do we think? I was wondering if this was a stitch up any way.
Zelensky signs the deal and America gives no guarantees whatsoever.
They sit back and watch Russia win/take over and plant a new leader.
American has a signed deal, so doesn't look bad when the new Ukrainian (Russian stooge) President allows America to mine the minerals. Putin happy, Trump happy.

That's about the size of it. The strange thing is that Trump somehow thought that Zelinsky would sign on to such a one-sided deal.

Is this one of the books @Dax777 wants banned?
Leave him be. He’s had a bad day on Bluemoon and either he knows it, or he’s so up his own ass he thinks he’s had a good one.

Note that — of course — he is nowhere to be found as the guys he voted for (and remember — he’d vote for Vance “a million times” over Trump — LOL) act like the two biggest cunts on the planet as they bully a man who has bravely led his country against invasion by a dictator-led superpower who has been until a few weeks ago America’s biggest enemy.

I don't stick my head in the politics subforum too often these days, but on the rare occasions I do I seemingly need not go far before reading a post from Dax. I think they stand out because he's always avoiding answering straight questions with straight answers? I had wondered if it was his modus operandi to disappear when his favourite lunatics do something indefensible.

Never keen to encourage an echo chamber but some people really do bring absolutely nothing to a discussion. Quite worrying if he feels he's genuinely fighting the good fight.
