Really? I had the impression that he's very comfortable with right wing, but was playing off not agitating too much. I'd agree that there seems to be something of a shot across the bows about what's going on.

I suspect he thinks that anything resembling a dictatorship would involve a degree of media muzzling, and is adamantly against that (if it's his media).

I'm not sure that I understand your meaning here though:
"Murdoch is 100% against far right policies - perhaps with some reservations against someone becoming "King" - or maybe not."

Murdoch is a huge enabler of the right and far right. Always has been. But he's also a media man and knows when to turn to the next thing.

I was surprised that he allowed Trump to get back in. Maybe they just took the view that there was no other option (desantis and Hayley having failed to get sufficient momentum). And he always seems to retain control. He supported Blair when the tories ran out of steam.

The issue now is that having got an extremely right wing government in place in the US. Its unravelling prematurely. OK they got the tax deal through but there's 3 years left of this.

Could Murdoch (and his team) turn on Trump now? What a shit show that would be for the rest of his term. Or does he keep fox on side to limit the damage going into the mid terms a d next POTUS cycle.

Typo - fixed.

The correction - "Murdoch is 100% for far right policies - perhaps with some reservations against someone becoming "King" - or maybe not."

Murdoch will always go out of his way to trash the Dem's because a democratic administration is seen as bad for business. What is currently playing on my mind is if he starts actively trashing Trump in favour of pushing Vance to the fore, or whether he looks to trash the administration as a whole in favour of a complete turnover of power to more moderate republicans. The first option is utterly terrifying.

He may be testing the waters at the moment - there's obviously a lot of backing for getting to the bottom of Epstein, and they'll be gauging if it offsets losses from the Trumpanistas.

Clueless Trump lawyer Alina Habba was appointed to be US attorney in New York.
She set about being as blatantly partisan as possible, and put up big pictures of herself.
The Senate refused to confirm her appointment, and after the term allowed (120 days, I think), she's out.

A group of judges appointed someone in her place.
So Bondi fired the replacement.

Wait until you hear about the AG in Albany, N.Y who was appointed as his own assistant in order to circumvent the 120 day Senate confirmation rules:

I'd seen that as well.
The wilful abuse of the system is astonishing.
