Id last year the Biden Admin seized 100 million pills. Then 22 million in 6 months is bbwhind schedule.

But it the Biden admin seized a grand total of say 3 million pills last year and we are already at 22 million 6 months in, then this is a job well done...

Looks like Trump’s man has won the race to Maxwell. Todd Blanche, Trump’s criminal defence lawyer until appointed deputy US AG by Trump spent a full day yesterday interviewing her and is expected to meet her again today.
Trump scrambling desperately to get his ducks in a row.
I’m sure Maxwell will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth when she answers her congressional subpoena. I’m also pretty confident that one of Trump’s last actions of his second term will be to commute her sentence, but that might have to wait till his third term.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

One salient fact to keep in mind is that the MAGA faction clamoring for release of the Epstein files are not die-hard Trump acolytes and thus aren't [as] subject to Trump's Jedi "look over there, Obama bad!" mind tricks; these folk are a mix of conspiracy theorists/promoters (e.g., MTG, Bongino) , right-leaning podcasters/viewers (e.g., Joe Rogan), and those who hate Trump but support him because his policies generally align with theirs (e.g., Tucker, Murdoch).

Should Ghislaine lie about the Epstein files to congress, it's an open question whether this will satisfy this faction.

The other point about conspiracy theorists and their promoters is that everything is a conspiracy and always will be a conspiracy. Don’t release the files. Conspiracy. Release the files but with sensitive information redacted. What are they hiding? They say it’s to protect the victims, but is that really true? Conspiracy. Release all the files with no redactions. Are we sure this is everything? If you look at pages 152 through to 167 it’s a slightly different font. Did they take out the originals and replace them with an alternative sanitised version to protect the Deep State? Conspiracy.

These people do not want the truth because the truth is often dull and boring, they want a version of the ‘truth’ that satisfies their mindset and this ‘truth’ is always obscured and tantalisingly out of reach.

Normally such after the fact meetings are attended by the original prosecutor and witnesses such as FBI agents who record the conversation and ensure no under the table deal takes place. Conveniently, the original prosecutor was fired by Bondi about 10 days ago, so Trump’s ex criminal defence lawyer Todd Blanche conducted the interviews with Maxwell.

Unless someone gets hold of the files, that will be the case, I fear. A congressional committee has voted to subpoena the files but I expect Bondi will ‘forget’ to include certain pages. The official Maga line is now that the files are fake, written by Obama, Clinton and Biden. YCNMIU.

Here’s an interesting comment on the state of the law in the US.
Suppose in the meeting with the DoJ, Maxwell offered to give Trump a million dollars for a pardon and Trump had later accepted this deal.
Maxwell had immunity for anything she said in her testimony and Trump, thanks to SCOTUS would have had immunity despite accepting a bribe.
Trebles all round.

Add in the level of intelligence, for practically all of them and even the clever, allowed dogma to denude their intellect. Brilliant to witness. The right is by definition hostile in its expression. Be that wealth inequality, or outright violence and removal of freedom. Not a single rightwing dictatorship has ended well. Look how America is going? A banana Republic, without the laughs.
