BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism. Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

What? But I thought the whole shutdown was to protect Social security and Medicaid? These fuckers are absolutely clueless. What a fucking colossal waste of tax payer money.

Next up is a resolution condemning black socks with white shoes.

The biggest political story of the year is that a 34 year old socialist just won the NY mayoral election in a landslide and while Donald Trump is cosying up to him and paying him compliments in the Oval Office because he doesn’t want to make an enemy of him, 40% of Democrats just voted to condemn his political platform.

These people are so fucking stupid.

Not really followed the.Mamdani election but think I prefer people voting with their beliefs rather than voting to themselves re-elected.

If they dont support Mamdani's policies, people should vote against them.

First, it isn’t remotely close to the biggest story; second, Democrats in Congress don’t represent NYC; third, look at what NYC voters’ choices were; fourth, do you know where I live and anything about MY City’s Board of Supervisors? You think HE’S a socialist??

Mayors must be pragmatists to get anything done. He can espouse any political philosophy he wants but at the end of the day if the subway doesn’t run on time and the potholes don’t get fixed and there’s garbage everywhere, that’s what he’ll be judged on by his constituents, and rightly so.

Falling for the trap that this is some new direction nationwide is precisely what the GOP WANTS you to believe. Granted I am not gainsaying a more leftwards turn needed to appeal to a certain portion of the Democratic base. But there is no sea change nor will there be one nationally as long as people in the suburbs and beyond vote.

Well, that was an interesting watch. I wonder what’s next for her.

So dumb she believes MAGA policy is the best thing for America, but smart enough to finally see that those in power in her party are leaders of a grifting, amoral, corrupt, cowardly cult of personality and nothing more.

Clearly up to something with her recent change of tune. She’s laying the groundwork for something. This isnt out of the goodness of her heart.

My gut reaction is that this is some high-level right-wing coordinated political theatre. She's resigning the day after her congressional pension is vested and this allows her to be positioned as the new “centrist” voice, effectively cutting off anything remotely left-wing, progressive and largely isolating the Democrats.

Her little farewell speech was a complete reaffirmation of every MAGA talking point, save maybe healthcare. Nothing’s changed in her politics. She’s simply realiz(s)ed that she cannot veer from a cult leader’s agenda, which used MAGA’s blueprint, but is in reality all about 100 percent loyalty/fealty to him, and be in politics as a member of the GOP. Once Trump is gone, she’ll fill the vacuum with precisely the same MAGA agenda, but without the cult leader to stand in her way. Or she’ll just lever her fame to get rich, if you believe her when she says she’s not in politics for power nor influence.

There are few Dems that want a vote FOR Socialism being used against them in 2026 or 2028. Know your audience…and it’s not Bluemoon or Guardian readers, it’s moderate Americans!
