Interesting point. Same as what happened with the Jan 6 rioters. Of course this time round Trump might simply pre-emptively pardon any and all who carried out any executive orders (though that does not protect them from state law).

The irony being that the overseas workers will then be picked up by ICE

I suspect many of the opposition will try to squeeze stuff into a state charge to avoid the dreaded pardon.

I can't help but think we're going to find that this guy was a loner, with no real friends or acquaintances and that the authorities are going to 'discover' a trove of Antifa paraphernalia on his various devices that they just happened to instantly get their hands on.
