US Presidential Election, Nov 5th 2024

Totally true,as soon as most of the people in the UK realise we are now an insignificant little island the better for everyone.
The current young generation know nothing about the empire and do not hark back to a mythical golden age. We are not, however, insignificant in that we still have a large economy, a good deal of soft power and the advantages of the English language. Whether we will use them or continue to drift relatively downwards is the question.

Musk nailing his colours to the Trump mast is concerning. He wants something and sees an opportunity, the AI and process automation he can introduce to the American economy is going to cause a slow car crash in the labour market and it seems world leaders are sleep walking into it. It won’t be immigrants taking jobs it will be our air fryers.
Ye all these office workers will end up doing menial jobs when AI takes over most if their jobs, Musk is as dangerous as Trump. The world is truly on a precipice now and with no grown ups to stop him Trump is going to be a nightmare for everyone, he will bully other leaders with threats etc and it’s about time Europe stood upto him.

David Lammy says hi.

Worst is how smug and happy the likes of Musk, Rogan, Farage,Russel Brand, Andrew Tate etc etc will be … all feeling justified for their fucking horrible grifting actions these last few years - this win will give them more ammo to continue the rhetoric.
