US Presidential Race 2016

They're all rounding on Trump and playing into his hands.

The debate rules seem to have gone out of the window.

No matter which of these morons gets the nomination (The Donald, the Canadian, or the Cuban), they will get 48% of the vote. Now, check the voting population of the US, and you will quickly realize there is a shitload of dumbass crazies over here!

All Mexicans are drug dealing rapists? Syrian refugees are coming to kill us?

I'm 46 years old and I remember a time when stupid people knew they were stupid and kept quiet and let the smart people talk about important things. Things are different now, stupid people are loud and proud and they eat up the fact that a reality TV star is screaming the stupid shit they are thinking. But we still come back to the unfortunate circumstance that they are, in fact, still stupid people.

Consider this: Trump is actually making fun of his supporters but they are just too stupid to realize it. About a month ago he said "I could go out and shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and I wouldn't lose any votes". Now, when a politician says that his followers are so blind that he could commit murder and they'd still vote for him what does that say about what he thinks of them? He's telling you that he thinks you are a moron and that you're too stupid to think for yourself.

Again though, how are things worse now? Is it guns? Do you realize that Obama has signed exactly two pieces of legislation regarding guns and one of them allows you to take a gun onto an Amtrak train and the other allows you to carry a gun in a National Park. Is it that he raised your taxes? Because if that's the problem then kudos to you because federal taxes have only gone up for people who make more than $400,000/year. And it's only gone up 3% for them and that's only on income in excess of $400,000. So if you make $450,000 you paid an additional $1,500 in taxes. Or is it that gay marriage is now legal and that upsets you so much that it's ruined your life. Because if that's the case and you worry so much about what gay people have the right to do I recommend being honest with yourself and maybe telling the guy at the gym that the moment you met him it was love at first site.

This is a top post.

Trump might be arrogat, racist etc but media keeps talking abt him and his popularity keeps increasing and he does appeal to conservative amricans and it wont be a surprise if he wins the whole thing, has hilary email scandal settled or is it something that could still come to bother her?

Those are very wide brush strokes right there, bud.

Trump is now carrying the Hispanic vote in these early rounds, having somehow even taken the evangelical clowns from Cruz.

As for banning Muslims, not exactly true and has morphed into something way beyond his initial statement.

He actually said he would call for a temporary ban on Muslims coming into the country until they could "get a handle" on where the people were coming from, in relation to the deadly shootings in California.

He reminds me of Reagan. He gave enough cross sections of the country the belief that things could be better.

Much as he was made out to be a clown, he was a brilliant figurehead for them, until his illness kicked in.

Trump is in the right place, at the right time, ready to follow a truly lame duck president.

Similar circumstances to why Corbyn resonated with the people in his own party.

Kinnell. You may know your football but your take on politics is risible. Reagan (or his handlers) was responsible for the tailspin the US has been in since the 80s. Deregulation fever rigged the markets and led to the 2008 crash. And Obama is hardly lame duck. With Obamacare, he's close to making the US a first world nation (but not close enough).

And his economic policies led to the US bouncing back way before Europe. Know why? Because he took notice of the vast majority of economists who now know austerity puts the brakes on growth.

Anyone taking Trump seriously as a thinker is beneath contempt.

But what part of time and place did you ignore? You highlight the consequences of a regime, not the landscape as to why Trump could possibly resonate like Reagan, because of the conditions at the time?

Reagan came up just short the first time he ran, and although later classed as a clown, was a very astute operator, tapping into the mood, a second time around.

As for Obamacare, it won't be around for long if the Republican nominee carries the country.

Not my opinion, the declarations already made by each of the candidates.
