FYI

The National Guard is a unique military force in the United States that serves both state and federal roles.

It consists of two branches: the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. Members typically serve part-time while holding civilian jobs, training one weekend a month and a few weeks annually.

The Guard operates under dual control:

- State governors command it during state emergencies like natural disasters or civil unrest,

- The President can federalize it for national defense or overseas missions. (The District of Columbia’s Guard is always under federal control.)

Historically, the National Guard evolved from colonial militias dating back to 1636 and was formally organized under federal law in 1903.

So, for all of those who wonder about the Second Amendment, many people interpret it to mean everyone can own guns because almost every man was considered part of that State militia, albeit not specifically stated that way due to the norms of the day.

And, just so everyone is clear, THIS is Trump overstepping under the guise of “protecting ICE” who were doing “aggressive immigration sweeps” (Scoop up, ask questions later!) through Los Angeles.

They did a sweep through Chicago this past week. No National Guard, even though he would probably have loved trying to give Pritzker a black eye, too! And, don’t think he isn’t trying to damage Newsom, who ran hard against Trump for Harris and is a top tier candidate for 2028!

Hopefully, this will get DEMOCRATIC POLITICIANS OFF THEIR COLLECTIVE ASSES!

Long past time they started hitting back at the escalation of autocracy in America.

Of course Trump can rely on the Proud Boys, ICE, the National Guard and NRA supporters to back him ........... no wait Latino's, blacks and everyone else for Trump who he is shitting on and also have access to guns will out number the Proud Boys and ICE etc who are so fucking chicken shit they will melt away the minute the bullets start firing their way. Oh and there will be a lot of U-Haul deposits confiscated when ICE return bullet riddled vans

Well, this happened today. A police officer appeared to deliberately fire a non-leathal round at a news reporter.

The First Amendment states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances".

Attacking the press in an attempt to silence them is a direct attack on the Constitution.
