US tour starts with Portland training camp (at the NIKE)

I had it from a US source that at Merlo you can actually stand outside and watch the game if you don´t fancy paying..It´s just a school stadium anyway.

So on yer bikes and search the net for a pic of the stadium..this might be true.

the flights from th uk are expensive because its high season, within the usa try logging on to <a class="postlink" href="http://www.jetblue.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.jetblue.com</a>

If you look up University of Portland on google maps you can get a pretty good idea of what you're dealing with here. Small field with lots of open areas around it. It SHOULD be possible to watch the match from outside, with the added benefit of hopefully meeting some of the players since there is nowhere that's closed off for there to head to after the match. Who knows, it may be a chance for some of our British friends to learn all about that great American tradition...the Tailgate!

I found some tickets on ebay for $40 a pop if anyone is interested. I got the last 6 tickets, but it says they have more in their description. It might be worth giving them a call if anyone is looking.

I just purchased a season ticket package to the Timbers in order to get this game. Came in at 185 and includes 10 timbers games the City match and a Boca Juniors match as well which should be fun to see. So all in all I'm pleased. Still wish they would have made these available in an easier way.

I asked the rep on the phone and apparently it will be General Seating, so all the City fans who get in can sit together and make a little noise. Good Times should be had by all!

with regards to the us tour, the thomas cook package looks decent value for money, however it misses out the game in atlanta as its only for the new york game.

question for us of a blues, whats the best airline for getting to the US from England and the best for inter-state travel i.e. new york to atlanta. i'v looked at ba prices and they're a joke.

Try Delta from Manchester to Atlanta direct.

Internally, try Delta again or Airtran who are usually inexpensive..

Just got 2 tickets yesterday off of Craig's List and will be going with my brother, who lives walking distance to the ground. Would love to meet up with some fellow Blues beforehand at a pub nearby.

And, yes, I'm new to Bluemoon, though I've been reading it for years and have been following City since 1994. I went to the home Boro game in February 2009 and saw City play at Reading all the way back in 1998 or 1999. Go ahead, call me a RAG if you like.

I'll certainly be there. pm me closer to the date of the game and we'll arrange a drink or two or five.
