US/UK launch strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen

What is the argument to not protect our interests? If you're typing this on a phone or computer then just think about where either came from?

The components almost certainly came from Asia but how do they get to here? Via a ship. What route does that ship take? It takes the quickest which involves transiting past Yemen into the Red Sea and then into the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean.

If the Houthis are attacking ships heading into the Red Sea then those ships will instead take the safer but MUCH longer route around Africa which means the availability of goods from Asia decreases and prices will go up.
This must be one of the worst excuses to kill people I've ever read

So why does it have to be us "defending" these ships? If the ships are coming from Asia then why are non of the countries there bombing the houthi?

Well done trying to focus minds on the really important here ...... OUR interests in the region. Incredible colonial mindset you have there.
Colonial? How? I'm seriously confused. Does importing from China constitute colonialism now? I am not talking about Israel-Gaza, that is separate, I am talking about the Houthis attacking us and the entirety of western Europe's interests.

Obviously violence against the Royal Navy and innocent ships in international waters is fair game now to you lot. It's ironic really considering you were all international law warriors yesterday but yes not today...

Give me one good reason why we shouldn't be defending these ships if we have the means to do so?

It is proscribed in international law that every ship has the right to free and unhindered passage. If nobody defends that right then what is the point?

Based upon what you're saying, why do we bother to defend ships from pirates in the Gulf of Aden? Why don't we just allow these people to do whatever they want and we as consumers can just pay the increased price instead?

Have you ever spent a day with the Houthis in Yemen? I'd hope you haven't but then you wouldn't be typing this.
Have you ever spent a Day in Gaza?

What's more important too you, Using the forces we have to stop Thousands of children being blown to bits or the Ships being allowed to through. What's the priority?

Yeh I've only mentioned it around 50 times that Hamas are murdering cunts. When I post every message do I have to keep adding that bit at the end just kinda even it up?
Israel does not gain any advantage by killing Palestinian children.
Hamas on the other hand, uses the death of these children as a PR tool in their war with Israel.
There are recordings of Palestinians themselves stating that they were shot at by Hamas when they tried to move south at the start of the war.
All I am saying is that 130 children (according to your stat) will not die daily unless they are deliberately placed in the line of fire. Using children as a human shield is the real war crime that very few people are talking about.
