Only the 2nd draw in 15 WC Qualifying matches in El Azteca!!! We defended well, rode our luck. Mexico had a strong claim for a penalty denied and they acted like the spoiled front running bitches they are kind of like some team that plays in Red from Stretford.

A better team would ahve found a way to win it. The team is very young and thats a tremendous result. The two central defenders were immense-Besler and Gonzalez. One DaMarcus Beasley played left back and they should have protected him a lot more than they did. Edu had a mare and almost gave away the pen and gave away the ball too much. Dempsey too isolated.

The bottom line is Mexico were toothless in the final 1/3 and didnt do enough. Would lov to see them (and some other Euro countries) hae to come and play at altitude in El Azteca and in front of other hostile crowds in this region.

I think we play them in Columbus. The days of playing them in major population centers (for qualifiers anyway) are well and truly over. We have gotten used to turning them over on our patch. Long may it continue. Mexico looked totally toothless and deviod of ideas in the final 1/3. Historically, they get off to slow starts in these things. Would love to see them NOT qualify or at least scramble to qualify. It would be hilarious to see New Zealand battle them in the playoffs!!!!!

BTW did youhear how they so disrespectfuly booed and whistled thru our national anthem last night?? Add the lazer pointers and how they behaved like spoiled bitches when they didnt get a call and you come up with a bunch of classless assclowns.........

Very true we didnt even get a sniff in to qualify. In those days we were VERY shite and also there was only ONE place from CONCACAF. Now, 3 our of 6 get in and 4th place gets another bite at it via a playoff!!!

The Central American teams used to beat the shit out of us (on the pitch) away AND at home. those days are well and truly over. I would argue that the fact we are in such a weak group actually retards our long term progress as a force.......
