I think a draw is what we want to see here. As for our game, not only do we need Barry back in the side, but we also need to see Joe Cole out there, and Ashley Cole to turn up.

Ever been to the BigSoccer forums, one of the biggest for U.S. "soccer" fans? Arrogance abounds. One of them called for Roy Hodgson's head because of how he "misuses" Dempsey.

Right im afraid, if anyone is arogant its england. Always expected to win the world cup, always refering to 1966, best players in the world, all rubbish im afraid. A draw with a team who are losing to slovenia, and when they do go out it will be because rio got injured. hmmmm

Well, I'm a Yank and I can't say that I'm surprised by how this game is playing out. I'll be surprised if they even score.

I don't understand how anyone would want Slovenia to win this game. I don't want us to have to face them and needing a win to top the group.
I love the Yanks and America as a whole, think the brashness and arrogance is somewhat overstated. Having said this i think even as a yank you have to see the arrogance of contesting a world championship with only yank teams involved as is the case in nfl, nba and mlb

Alot of people on here underestimate USA, it's a shame really, they might not have alot of skilled players but what they do, they do well. Any American involved in any form of representing their country will give every ounce of blood they possess to try and win.

Not being funny guys, but if we are England and looking to be one of the faves for the competition, we shouldn't be thinking - "best result for us bla bla" , we should be able to do the job and finish top ourselves which would be a travesty if we didn't looking at the group we are in. IMHO of course
