U.F. 19 - if you think all U.S football fans deserve this then what do you think England fans deserve? The game is a passionless kick about in your country and treated as a second class sport - you don´t understand the word suffering in FOOTBALL terms although you are a blue - (not of 40 years I would imagine!) Anyway enjoy the moment but don´t spout on about deserving causes to me - 5 penalty shoot out losses means we should win back to back World Cups but we won´t!

i think deserve is on a different level. we have nowhere the tortured history of england, but american supporters have their own frustrations. i went to the US-Eng game in chicago about 4 years ago i think. 60,000 stadium and there may have been 10k american supporters. the US is routinely outsupported at home games no matter where in the country they are. it's just nice to have a moment in the sun. not at all convinced we will conquer the world (or even win a game next summer) but right now i'm happy.

Actually us English fans deserve much much more than has been delivered since 1966, lthough we have had some decent moments since, just nothing in the way of of trophies! The sport here in the US is a 4th class sport, but the actual 'die-hard' fans are every bit as passionate about 'SOCCER' ......
